Our wind.
Our energy.
Our time.
Nova Scotia is building pathways to a cleaner, more sustainable future – and wind is key to getting us there.

It’s time for Nova Scotia to put our wind to work.
Around 31% of our power grid relies on coal, which comes with high import costs for Nova Scotians while generating harmful emissions that pollute our air. The Clean Power Plan will get Nova Scotia off coal by 2030, with a mix of sustainable and cleaner local renewables, including safe, reliable onshore wind energy. Onshore wind turbines are a proven technology that will reduce our reliance on fossil fuels while generating sustainable and cleaner power.
Investment in and development of wind power projects will create jobs and deliver economic benefits to our communities. And it’s an important step in Nova Scotia’s Clean Power Plan.
The power of wind
Onshore wind turbines are expected to save Nova Scotians $100 million over the next 25 years.
Wind is the one of the most affordable source of electricity available.
Wind and other renewables will help us reduce greenhouse gas emissions from electricity by by over 90% by 2050.
Opportunity
